November Dragon Assembly

Today we gathered to recognize all the great citizenship we see here at school. Mr. Jesse also led us in Woodie Guthrie's This Land Is Your Land in honor of the upcoming observance of Veteran's Day.

The Trinidad Civic Club recognized Rayne for the citizenship award. Rayne shows tremendous determination and hard work. She comes to school every day ready to learn something new. She is always ready with her supplies and keeps her work spaces neat and organized, even at such a young age. She works very hard each week to complete her work and is able to stay on task each day. She is helpful and respectful to her teachers and friends and cares deeply for the other people in her class and the teachers she works with each day. She is a perfect representative of being Safe, Respectful and Responsible.

Marcel, Emory, Griffin, and Rhett were recognized for their fantastic recess citizenship.
Ember won the Green Tray Award and  Henry N was recognized for citizenship in the library.

Aveline, Stone, Rayne, Isla, Lidia, Noah, Evan, and James were our Dragon Drawing winners this month.

Game Time Supervision

We love it when students come to cheer on their classmates at our basketball games! Please keep in mind that once your child is signed out of the after school program, they are no longer under the care of after school staff and cannot be signed back in.
Children at the games must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times. Students may not be left to play outside on their own. If your child would like to play outside, please go out and stay with them.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

Help Wanted

Trinidad School is hiring paraprofessionals! If you know someone who would make a great addition to our team, please encourage them to apply.

Abalone Stories

You are cordially invited to the screening of "Abalone Stories-Loss, Connection, Renewal"  on Thursday, November 12 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. The documentary, produced and directed by Cynthia Abbott, is 29 minutes in length and features Shoshoni Gensaw-Hostler demonstrating the use and culture of integrating abalone in her dress and regalia making. The film also highlights the depletion of abalone and kelp in the sea. Shoshoni will have several of her dresses on view and she, Carolyn Belak and Alex Catling, both of whom dive and instruct at the Cal Poly Fred Telonicher Marine Laboratory, will be present for a question and answer discussion after the film. $10 (or more) donation at the door is suggested.
