Go Dragons!

Congratulations to our JV Volleyball team on this season's third win!! We have a few more games left this season and admission is free. Don't miss your chance to see them in action.

Our Cross Country Runners have been working hard all season, and we're excited to host the season's first meet right here on the Trinidad campus! We're planning on welcoming over 300 participants from around the county, and we can't wait to show off our school and cheer on our athletes.

Because student safety is our top priority with this many visitors on campus, we want to share a few important reminders:

Plan for traffic: The meet starts at 4:00 PM, and many participants will be arriving in town just after 3:00 PM. Volunteers will be on hand directing traffic — please be patient with them as they help everyone get where they need to go safely.
Guardians must accompany runners: After-school staff are not able to supervise participants before, during, and after the races, so any students racing must stay with their guardian throughout the event.
After-School Program students will stay indoors: To help keep our students safe amid the large crowds, kids in the After-School Program will take part in indoor activities during the meet.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and for joining us in cheering on our runners. We're looking forward to a great meet!

Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

Trinidad School District passed a bond in the previous election. Once a district is successful in passing a bond, they are required to have a bond oversight committee. While the nuts and bolts of the projects will be determined by the board, the oversight committee works to ensure that the district is spending the public's money in a responsible way. The committee meets from 1-4 times per year. We are looking for seven members who fill the following roles:

One parent/Guardian of a child enrolled in the district
One parent/Guardian of a child enrolled in the district AND an active member of TSEF, PTO, or Site Council
One active member in a business organization representing the business community
One active member in a senior citizen's organization
One active member in a bone-fide taxpayers association
Two members from the community at large.

Color Run

PTO welcomes parent volunteers! Please check in at the office if you are coming early to help set up or spread color.

Since the color run is after TK/K dismissal, parents can either take their children to the starting line to participate at 1:30 or they may send them to afterschool to be monitored and participate with afterschool staff.

We are TWO WEEKS away from our TSEF fundraiser at Trinidad Town Hall! It’s not too late to get your presale tickets. We also have volunteer opportunities available.

Looking forward to having a fun night with favorite tunes while supporting the Trinidad School’s Art, Garden, Drama & Music programs.

Lunch on the Lawn

We are pleased to invite significant adults in our students' lives to join them for lunch on Wednesday, October 14. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, mentors, etc. can join their child for lunch and community time. We ask for a $5 donation per adult meal.
