General Description

The Title 1 Teacher at Trinidad School fills a valuable role for those students who need additional academic and social/emotional support.  As a school wide Title 1 school our Title 1 teacher develops and coordinates student interventions, coordinates meetings with stakeholders, and supports general education teachers with differentiation.  The Title 1 Teacher is responsible to the superintendent/principal and the students for facilitating a program for TK-8th grade students based on the needs of the school, including the evaluation of test scores and teacher referrals. The Title 1 Teacher collaborates well with teachers, parents, and administrators and communicates  through in person, telephone, and other means of electronic communication. Above all the Title 1 teacher is responsive to the needs of the students and demonstrates a positive and kind demeanor.   


Special Education Teacher (Start date: 8/22/2019)

.4 FTE, Temporary, position open until filled

General Description

The Special Education Teacher at Trinidad School is integral to the education of our students with disabilities.  The Special Education Teacher is responsible to the superintendent/principal and the students for facilitating a blended inclusion and pull-out resource program.  The Special Education Teacher assume responsibility for the implementation of students’ educational plans as well as serve as an integral member of the team which performs student assessments, designs instructional plans and reviews student program. The Special Education Teacher provides individual, small group and whole-class instruction as appropriate according to Federal, Master Plan, and school-level requirements for individuals with exceptional needs.

Special Circumstances Instructional Aide (Start date: 8/26/2019)

5.5 Hours per day, salary range $12.28-$17.83  DOE
Instructional Aides are needed to support individual students under the direction of special education and general education teachers.  Qualified applicants will have a minimum of a high school diploma and pass a paraprofessional examination or have post high school college experience (2 years), an associates degree or higher education. Applicants should enjoy working with young children, collaborate well with others, and have a minimum of one year experience working with individuals with special needs.

Classroom Instructional Aide (Start date: 8/26/2019)

3.0 Hours per day (9AM-12PM), salary range $13.11-$17.45 DOE
Instructional Aides are needed at various levels, ideal candidates will work well with others and seek to support certificated teachers in providing engaging academic and enrichment lessons, facilitating student supervision, and work as a team to advance the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of a high school diploma and pass a paraprofessional examination or have post high school college experience (2 years), an associates degree or higher education. Applicants should enjoy working with young children and work well with others.

3.5 Hours per day (2-5:30 PM), salary range $12.00-$17.43 DOE
After School Instructional Aides are needed to support students from Transitional Kindergarten to 8th grade levels after school hours.  Ideal candidates will have a desire to support students through enrichment activities and academic support and demonstrate a warm and welcoming nature. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of a high school diploma and pass a paraprofessional examination or have post high school college experience (2 years), an associates degree or higher education. Applicants should enjoy working with young children and work well with others.
