Books Give A Soul To The Universe,
Wings to the mind,
flight to the imagination
And life to everything.
Welcome to Trinidad school’s dragon library!
The purpose of our school library is to help every member of our school
community — students, staff, and families — have a safe and inviting
space to go where they can gain new knowledge, skills, and dispositions
for learning and personal development that they will use throughout their
lives. Our goal is to promote literacy while sharing the wonders of reading.
Our warm and cozy library is open from 8:30-1:30 five days a week. All
students have access to the library before school, during both morning
break and lunch recess. The classrooms visit the library once a week for a
read aloud and to check out books. The students can return and check out
new books during their class visit or during their breaks.
Our library is a very relaxing place, with a lot of natural light as well as
warm lighting from lamps, beautiful plants, and calm music.
Students can come in here to read to a friend, do homework or work on
research projects for class.
The library also hosts a chess club and dungeon and dragons club during
recess.
We have other activities such as coloring, sticker art, word search puzzles,
and an ongoing puzzle for anyone is needs a brain break.
Trinidad library supports the Battle of the Books, History Day, MARE
month, and many other areas of classroom research. The Authors’ Festival
is every two years in which a featured author visits our school.
We are funded by Scholastic Book Fairs and We also gladly accept book
donations!
Students can use our library system to look for books of interest.
